Meet Alzak
Alzak Amlani, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Palo Alto and San Francisco, CA. He has been in the field of counseling psychology for 18 years. He has been trained in a variety psychotherapeutic approaches. Dr. Amlani tailors his counseling and psychotherapy to the specific issues unique to each individual, couple, family, or group. In his in-depth, interpersonal style he helps you explore, discover, understand, and work through your specific struggles, patterns, beliefs, and behaviors.
He incorporates existential, cognitive-behavioral, cross-cultural, object relations, Jungian and transpersonal perspectives. By drawing on a broad range of counseling modalities, he can be of optimal help through a warm, direct, and supportive therapy process.

Lecturing and Writing
He lectures at Stanford, the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and other graduate schools in No. Calif. He has also taught seminars on health and well-being at the Mercy Center in Burlingame. Currently he is writing a book with Jungian analyst, Robert A. Johnson (author of He, She, Inner Work) on integrating cross-cultural wisdom with western psychology. His personal interests include gardening, tennis, travel, and preparing healthy foods.

Professional Consultation and Supervision
Dr. Amlani offers consultation and supervision to other professionals including psychotherapists, attorneys, clergy, physicians, nurses, CEOs and managers. In addition to his clinical counseling practice, he has worked in business settings, health and nutrition, legal-ethical, forensic arenas and retreat centers.
